Greetings to Our Internationally-Minded
San Diego Citizens,
You are receiving this because we think you would be interested in our work.
We are a member organization that doesn’t leave diplomacy to the professionals. We bring emerging leaders to San Diego from around the world, arrange for them to meet with our local experts, and invite them to sit around our dinner tables and get to know us.
If you want off our list, let us know. We’ll miss you.
What do other people think of us?
An example from one of our international visitors.
1) What did you learn while with us?
What I learned is… “Positive thinking.”
In general, American people think everything positively. It is totally different from Japanese. It is the biggest thing I learned. I could change myself like Americans do.
2) What were your ideas of people from the United States before you came
and how did that change once you were here?
“Diversity” is my key word for not only my theme but also my ideas of America and American people.
My ideas of people who live in the States were “Black” or “White”, “Democrat” or “Republican.” However, thousands of races are there, thousands of policies are there, thousands of individuals are there. America has a big heart. American people accept diversity. It is the most interesting thinking for me.
